Sales Operations Manager - London, United Kingdom

The Sales Operations department at Episerver is responsible for ensuring that executive management has the visibility they need into the business, that the field is properly empowered, and that the sales and services organizations have the process/tools to operate efficiently and effectively. Cooperation and collaboration across all departments at Episerver is key as well as a very close alignment with the executive team.  


The Role

In support of this, the Sales Operations Manager will focus on the following core responsibilities:

Deal Support in EMEA

  • Serve as primary point of escalation for internal deal support, specific to licensing and pricing strategy, deal structuring, revenue recognition, and contracting guidance.  Emphasis on best practices and scenario building.  
  • Add “self-service” process, tools, empowerment for transactional business. 
  • Play key role in contract drafting and negotiation of business terms
  • Enforce business controls, policies, procedures, and best practices to maximize sales performance and comply with GAAP requirements (where applicable)
  • Help build and implement an empowerment framework with the goal of improving quality and consistency of response to escalation while reducing senior management involvement

Business Analysis

  • Analyze and provide on demand analysis regarding: pipelines, sales results, segmentation, leads and forecasting
  • Support monthly Board reporting requirements
  • As required, validate reports and analysis from supporting stakeholder groups

Systems Management & Support

  • Support the CRM system specific to the sales organization
  • Identify / recommend tools to improve performance and works with IT to implement such tools
  • Drive weekly data cleansing initiatives in CRM

Sales Readiness & Training

  • Deliver field readiness training specific to CRM best practices and deal support


  • Support the monthly review/validation process for commissions in region
  • Serve as an escalation point for commission related issues
  • Assist in the annual planning, design, and rollout of the commission plans

Cross-department Process Improvements

  • Support initiatives to improve process and systems supporting Sales, Marketing, Services, Partners, Customer Support, Licensing, Legal, and Finance

 Organization Chart

 This position reports to the Vice President of Sales Operations.  The role requires interaction at all levels of the organization to ensure effective execution of the sales plan and business line plans.
